Apparently its about Andy tracking down his original toys for his kid to play with and like… who cares?? Yea the toys are main characters to us because we’ve seen their story, but realistically no one would go through this effort over just buying new ones. The jokes about Andy shaking down some kids for old toys is warranted. It just makes no sense and looks like corporate milking.

What they could’ve done instead is make a story about Sid dealing with his subconscious fear of toys while having a kid that of course wants to play with them. And the toys get up and move around when he’s not looking just to mess with him. Personally, I would pay to see that.
