Just saw a post of some moron saying people shouldn’t judge them for whatever weird shit they’re into if they watch HunterxHunter. Honestly I don’t about the proship/anti bullshit. Both groups are annoying media illiterate dumbfucks that can’t have a nuanced discussion about anything.

First off I’m basing this on the 2011 anime. Now heres what people don’t get about Hisoka from HxH: Yes he absolutely is a pedo. He popped a boner in front of kids multiple time, stared at their asses in a noticeably creepy way, Hisoka threatened to rape Killua to get a rise out of Illumi. Does the show agree with his bullshit? No. The show makes sure you know that this is seen as creepy. The lighting and camera angle of the fight between Hisoka and Gon make him look like a complete creep. When he goes on one of his… power boner trips he looks like a creep (Side note: people were also favorably comparing HxH to Black Butler and I gotta say when BB gets creepy its more like a wink nod to the audience that wants to see it. HxH is kinda mocking stuff like that).

I personally think the point of Hisoka is to literally make fun of how people are willing to overlook completely disgusting behavior as long as the one doing it is hot (…or they draw hot characters…). The show clearly doesn’t agree with how he acts, but hes designed to look hot. If Hisoka looked liked Milluki no one would be so forgiving or try to make excuses. The kicker is that lots of people did prove them right. Overlooking the fuckery to simp for him is exactly what the show is making fun of. Worse if people ship him with Gon. Like HxH is mocking you if you do this.
