I can somewhat understand people that complain about the lack of black characters in the yandere/horror vn community, particularly about the lack of diversity in supporting characters or in the “y/n” character. That is a legit issue (the only black character I can think of is Shaun from SDJ???) But I can’t imagine a black yandere character tbh. A lot of yandere character traits are like negative stereotypes for black people. Its like the fearmongering shit white people used as an excuse to create suburbs. And this is not helped by the fandoms for these communities usually posting white ocs/sonas that are portrayed as sweet, innocent, demure girls. Its not all of them but I saw a lot of that type of thing back when I was in fandoms. It would be really tricky to design a black yandere character without indirectly making some unfortunate implications. And even if you’re careful the fandom itself can take a black character and apply those stereotypes (cough Spiderverse).
