Do you think that the sudden censorship of nsfw content on payment platforms like patron could be related to photo realistic AI generated content in some way? I do think it usually circles back to companies not wanting to spare the resources to actually moderate their platform (and pay for therapy for the moderators) and would rather drop a wide sweeping ban thats easy for an AI to do. At least thats what I think happened with tumblr. The washington post runs an article outing weird crap happening on modern platforms all the time and despite any nuance, its not a good look to the “normies”. So the sanitation is mostly just to present a safe outer exterior and make things easier and cheaper for the company.

Honestly putting nsfw behind a paywall is probably a safer way to keep it from kids so Its really shooting ourselves in the foot.
