Its nothing personal I just don’t think you should be able to bring a real world bias into your fiction- without any self awareness whatsoever- and then hide behind “erm u kno its just fiction rite”. To a certain point I think we should be more weary about what we produce and consume esp if you don’t want to draw in an audience of the most horrid mfers you’ve ever seen. Back when I was posting art on social media I didn’t want to draw in certain crowds, so I did my best to avoid making those crowds feel validated by my stuff. And when all else fails, a “hey, cut that shit out” wouldn’t hurt. I don’t want to invite real world hatred to my stuff unless its hatred of hatred.
