Noooo Don’t Do This To Me

Ok at this point I don’t think Sunny Day Jack is happening. The demo came out a few months ago and it was pretty decent, but there wasn’t really any noteworthy progress from the small demo that dropped around 2-3 years ago. Yea they added more details and story but it stops at around the same time.

I don’t think SDJ is happening because the company is just… it doesn’t seemed disciplined? I understand people have mental illnesses and disabilities I get the same way which is why I wouldn’t charge people a subscription fee for artwork and progress and updates or anything like that. I just posted another chapter of A Rocket to the Stars after half a year. Imagine if I had an audience that was paying money for me to regularly update. They’d be pissed and rightfully so.

I’m personally not a hard ass about these type of things. I don’t mind being subscribed as long as their something going on. The Snaccpop patreon was dormant for quite a while until this weekend. If I recall, they claimed that SDJ would be ready by Halloween. Now unless they had way more done than what was in the demo, that was bullshit and I don’t know why they claimed that. And don’t forget they were bringing back Bachelor of the Month with Jack. The posted for one week, then went silent.

Once again, I understand they have various issues that prevent them from doing creative things. I also have various issues that prevent me from doing creative things. I also understand why people get pissed when you’re silent for weeks. Hell, I’m very not happy. I still like SDJ but this whole mess is really disappointing. I was already charged for Nov, so I’ll stay just to see what they do. I’m bailing if its more silence.

And one more thing: people shouldn’t be harassing the devs or anyone else just voicing their opinion. Idk why people still do this shit like it effects anything and doesn’t make things worse. Worse b/c these should be adults that know better. Just everything is disappointing now.
