This character should not be as controversial as he is. I recently unlocked him and got a few 4-5 star cards to look through. I gotta say once again this stuff is overblown. There is no incest fetish stuff between him and the mc. They’re close but they don’t act like siblings and any fetish stuff is coming straight from the fandom. Anyone with that interpretation of Caleb and his relationship with the mc is neanderthal brained whether you’re for or against that kind of stuff. LADS is a game where you have to look past the surface level and Caleb’s backstory is no different.

Now in the timeline where he is the main love interest, he seems to need mc to need him. He’s overprotective, centers his goals around her comfort (so far I don’t know if he actually wanted to be a pilot or if he is doing it so he can take care of mc) and he acts like a borderline yandere. Its not *exact* but I’m using the term as a shorthand so everyone knows what I’m talking about. He even locks up the mc in the attic for hours because he wants her to stay out of a fight he was about to get into (where was Josephine? Who tf knows).

So heres where the incest allegations come from: they were adopted by the same person. And heres why I’m kinda mehhhhh on that. First off, they met before the adoption. Both Caleb and mc were test subjects in a horrible lab. Maybe seeing them kill and revive mc so many times sparked a hyper protective instinct in him, but he tells her that he will always be by her side. When they’re both kids in that situation, the only way to do that is get adopted by the same person and something tells me that when grandma Josephine adopted mc he made sure he came with her. Because when you read from grandma’s pov she has nothing to say about Caleb. She’s so sorry about the experiments on mc and all that but she doesn’t mention Caleb.

Also my memorys fuzzy but I think Caleb was about to put her in a home he wasn’t fuckin with her ether. Orrr he know she had an hand in the experiments and was bitter- Or maybe he was making her that ill out of vengeance. Because we know mc lost her memories after being revived but Caleb probably saw it all. Hell- he might’ve been the one to get her out of that lab the first opportunity he got (just like his recent myth card) then Josephine found them and hid them from Ever for as long as she could. I actually can’t wait to get more story for him! Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaa!

With that out of the way, I know what you all are thinking: Why don’t I ship Caleb with my oc, Lyn. And I’m here to tell you I just might. Honestly they’d just be enabling and making each other worse. The explosion would be a godsend.
