Looking back it’s insane how much society pushed the idea that girls somehow matured quicker than boys so the only romantic partners that would be on their level are men 10+ years older. And this shit was EVERYWHERE. Celebrities, media in general and hardly any adults would push back on this besides feminist on blogs (and we can imagine the warm reaction that would’ve gotten them). Just what the fuck was wrong with everyone.
