I don’t know how to put this but it feels like everything in America has been culturally and technologically stagnant since 2020. Just nothing has actually changed. I thought maybe there’d be a shift in how we did things because of the pandemic but no. Everything is virtually the same if not worse. We couldn’t even keep work from home. Like think about the oil crisis for a minute. In 2026 why are we still so reliant on gas for transportation that if we ran out of oil today virtually no one could go anywhere. Wheres the electric powered public transport and walkable cities?? The only technological advances we’ve had revolve around targeted ads and torturing women, children and poc. It’s not a secret that capitalism has been holding everything back over the past decade but the stagnation is really ridiculous when you think about it. There is no going back to “normal” things need to advance NOW.
