The lads fandom is at it again with the “all lis are evil murders” bs. First off, all this argument does is take details about the story out of context if not make shit up about the characters (ironic because this is usually done in response to people making up bullshit about Valko. Yes I am skeptical about the “leaked” story). People will be nitpicking about the lis doing bad shit and it turns out to be the point of conflict in the story. If you’re going to point out the dark shit in this game tell the whole story. Why did Raf kill those rich people? Because they were scrapping Lumerians for parts (side note but idk if this was intentional but they were investigating the rich guy’s death but no one cared to investigate the real marginalized skeleton he mysteriously had in his living room. Just like in real life). People act like he murders for the sake of it when he’s legit in distress. These same people think Sylus was the one that drugged mc. He actually saved her when she was drugged by a different character come tf on guys. I’ll give lads some credit in that the writers are usually pretty self aware about what they’re writing. Its not always, but they usually don’t just write edgy slop for the sake of it like the fandom is making it sound. Then they say Caleb drugs mc when he just gave her drowsy cold medicine, tells her its cold medicine and she laps it down like a baby bird (one of many reasons Calebmc is my least favorite ngl. The one thing they’re kinda right about is the weird incest shit I’ve got nothing there) Idk I just don’t want people to big brain their way into thinking that a story with a conflict is problematic. Of course when engaging with a story we should remember to pay attention to the message, tone/mood, who created/sponsored it, etc. I’m def not one to shut down genuine media critique and nothing’s perfect.
